Keeping warm

Thanks to SIL Linda for the scarf to keep the champers warm. Well, until we put it on ice to chill...

Saturday We...

... trimmed the trees. Luckily, Gran'marie has a lot of trees in lots of sizes!

Fridays are for...

...snapping spectacular sunsets from a moving vehicle! (Well, okay, the traffic was stopped. Friday night commutes can be horrid!)

Thursday's Child...

...has far to go, if someone would just open that dratted door for her!

Wednesday Waits

Annnn...ti..ci..payay..tionnnn...

The little folks seem to think this is a dollhouse set up for them to play with. Rearranging is done frequently and creatively. The little mirror "pool" seems to puzzle them the most; it's always put back upside-down!

Tuesday Trails

What makes those mysterious lines in the sky? I know the mundane answer is that they're airplane contrails, but there's a part of me that would like them to be from the Lancre witches.

I think I'd like to be Esme Weatherwax when I grow up, but I think I have a lot more in common with Nanny Ogg. Although I'd like to think that I treat my daughters-in-law (and sons-in-law too) a little better!

First Signs of Christmas

The first decorations of the holiday season are up! Little bitty wall quilts with buttons sewn on them. This is the "modern" one, with newer buttons. Its mate is more subdued in coloring and has vintage buttons, mostly from my mom's button box.

I wonder what my grandkids will think about my button collection. Pardon me while I shudder!

Welcome to My New Picture Blog!

This is going to be my Project 365 Blog! Starting, well, today!, I'm going to try to post at least one picture every day for the next 365 days. If I make it, good for me! If I don't, well, I guess I'll just have to try harder, and you'll have to try to encourage me.

Deal?

So, here's a camellia to get started with. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to set up a couple more things to make this blog more useful to me and also, hopefully, to you too. Like a new Flickr badge, and links to my other blog, and maybe even some of my fellow 365 peeps.
