From James Mattson, the artist who did my dining room fixtures. A splurge but it makes me happy every time I look at it!

Sunset 2-20-10
My favorite time of day--twilight, with a bit of storm in the air. Street lights and house lights add a little glow.

Ethel's Cherry Girl Quilt
Made for a friend of hers. The center square is embroidered and beaded and embellished with beads and buttons and other trinkets. Close-up shots on my Flickr page!

Smile!
Audrey can come up with a "cheese" smile when asked! Here she is checking out pictures of her new baby sister!
Audrey meets Li'l Sissy
Okay, so it's not in person. Yet. Soon! She is fascinated by the pictures but likes the ones of herself even better. She helped me upload them, so she feels pretty proud of them!
New Baby
Baby Girl Leming arrived on Valentine's Day at 9:30, weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and measuring 20" long. She's beautiful and perfect, and she and Mom and Dad are doing fine.
We'll have to see what Big Sister thinks of her!

Ravelympics Project
"Belle Nuit" shawl by Sivia Harding, in laceweight silk. Cast on during the Opening Ceremonies!
V-Day Prep!
What's better than a chocolate cupcake? One that' s also got orange flavoring and chocolate chips in it, that's what!
VDay Swappypack from DiscKnits
Camera acting up again, so this is the best of a bad bunch of pictures. The swap is through the Rav Rubberneckers. Have I mentioned I love my Rubberhoars? They are the bestest!
My pack went to Canuckistan and I'm just hoping it makes it across the frozen tundra some time before Easter, as the VD candy will clash with the chocolate bunnies!

Gail's Quilt--Japanese Scrolls
This quilt top is paper pieced, and very intricate. We had fun in class tonight comparing the look of the quilt in a small picture (i.e., in the viewing window in my camera) with the actual quilt in "real life."
Try going to my Flickr page and look at this in a much larger size, and see if you can tell what I mean.
In the small photo, the black swirls especially stand out, and you can really see them. In a large photo, or in real life, you focus more on the detail in the fabric.
This kind of thing fascinates me. In fact, one of the quilters said tonight that she now wants to get herself a digital camera, so that she can do this with her quilts-in-progress!

After the Rain
Not as good a photo as I had hoped, but not bad considering I was standing in the bathtub when I took it! (Fully clothed.)

Tea for One
Back in action, I think! Camera is acting a little wonky, but we'll see if it holds up.
Took several shots of my cup of tea, to experiment with lighting, shadows, etc. The "straw" is a Trader Joe's honey/lemon stick. Mmm!

Audrey Do It!
She loves to play the Yo Gabba Gabba computer games--she's figured out the space bar and the trackpad and the right and left click buttons.
And sometimes, it's just "Ma do!"
